THE COAST GUARD PROTECT AMERICA’S PORTS AND WATERWAYS
The U.S. Coast Guard is
charged with protecting America’s ports and waterways from pollution,
smuggling, terrorist activities, and those entering the country
illegally. The United
States Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and the United States Coast
Guard (USCG)has been committed to increasing the security of and
protecting our nation’s shores, ports, waterways and vessels anywhere in the
world. However, we cannot do this alone. As a recreational boater enjoying the Baltimore Harbor and Chesapeake Bay, we need your help. The USCG has
established a 24-hour telephone line (listed below) specifically
for boaters like you. We urge you to report any situation that you believe
may pose a threat to America’s maritime community and waterways of
the United States. This information will be handled with the utmost
confidentiality and will be responded to as quickly as possible. Our
success in defending America’s Ports and waterways is directly dependant on

KayakTraining.com offers a wide range of sea kayak training courses and
guided kayak tours. We have instructional courses for the beginner as
well as the advanced paddler. Our lessons are designed to help beginners
establish a base set of skills; intermediate paddlers to gain confidence in
their expanding skill set; and the advanced kayaker to immerse themselves in
perfecting various kayaking techniques and advanced rescues. |

Anchor Bay East Marina
At dawn most days you can
usually count on two things on Bear Creek in Dundalk, Maryland: the calm of
the water as the sun rises and the barrage of activity at Anchor Bay East
Marina. The family-owned marina was founded 20 years ago this July, by Art
and Tina Cox. The Canton kayak Club would like to thank the Cox's for
letting us place our dock at Anchor Bay. |
